As your ceremony is a critically important part of your wedding celebration, your choice of music is extremely important. It sets the mood and can accentuate your personalities and your story as a couple. Just as there are several different ways you can execute your ceremony, there are many different genres of music you can add to the mix. Some brides prefer more classical/traditional music selections, while other brides more and more in present day are looking for newer and perhaps fresher alternatives. If you prefer a fun and upbeat type of ceremony, choose pop songs or great oldies that all your guests know. On the other hand, if you prefer a more serious tone for your ceremony, go with classical songs, like instrumental compositions by famous composers such as Bach or Chopin. There are even ways to incorporate more classical feel with newer music. You can hire a string quartet and have them play instrumental versions of your favorite songs. Look for songs that fit the style of wedding you are having, and make it memorable. Whichever genre or type of music you decide to use, just make sure you are comfortable with it and let it warm your heart as well as everyone else’s. Be proud when you and your groom, as well as your bridal party walk down the aisle.
