Signature style is a term predominantly and vehemently utilized in the world of fashion. So what exactly does “signature” actually mean? Simply put, it means identity. For the most part, we all strive to fashion our own identity; one that is unique and exclusively ours. Every year, I try to accommodate and dedicate time to speaking engagements from which I’m called upon from all across the globe. When a client requests my presence at a particular event where I am their guest/celebrity speaker, they expect me to provide an experience for their audience. And I always try to give it to em!
As an industry leader, I pride myself on developing that which has never been seen before. This is not always easy to achieve but I genuinely embrace the challenge. If you are looking for your personality to be sewn into the fabric of your event, I challenge you to polish up on your many gifts and talents and personalize your party. Doing so, will separate and position you to your guests as a master host. They will be be screaming to be on your guest list, I assure you.

I have many upcoming speaking engagements that we will be telling you about in the coming months. In July, for instance, I will be the celebrity guest speaker at Planning with the Pros in Tyler, Texas. The hosts have requested that I showcase a new signature drink. I have not let them down. My signature drink design, “The Drama Queen” will be the hit of the evening. Why “The Drama Queen” you ask? I thought it fitting to name it “DQ” because, (sadly) on occasion, I am “graced” with a select few clients that fit this category. I have yet to create the “Cool & Collected Client Cocktail”, LOL. Creating a signature cocktail should be an enjoyable process that permits one to pour in their personality and conceive the perfect concoction.
Cocktail hour is a time to mix and mingle and a great way to jumpstart any event. I often rent luxury lounge furniture for seating arrangements in and around the cocktail area to create a sexy lounge atmosphere. Guests always appreciate a comfortable place to sit, sip, relax, and socialize. When it comes to decorative cocktail hour rentals, the possibilities are truly endless. This important time really sets the tone for things to come as the evening progresses. This is also the time to wet your guests’ appetites with hot and cold hors d’eourve (four to five per person is a safe average). Don’t ever feed liquor to your attendees without some food to dilute the effects of the alcohol. Believe me, this is critical. You probably don’t want to slip in a pool of vomit at your wedding or event. It’s never a nice evening for an ankle injury! 🙂
If you are planning a wedding or other type of event that calls for a signature drink, keep it simple by either choosing a color, season or garnish to act as your guiding force. When it comes to naming your signature drink, keep it fun and flirty, select a name that guests will remember for years to come. Should you ever need a signature cocktail that is dramatically delicious, feel free to try one of my signature cocktails, the aforementioned “Drama Queen”. I guarantee that you and your guests will not be disappointed.
