Math is all about grasping and applying formulas but, if it were that easy, then, we would all be excellent mathematicians. You may not know that I, Donnie Brown, descended from the same bloodline as Einstein. Okay, so it’s wishful thinking but, math was my forte and being the genius that I am, LOL, the latter has enabled me to share with you, this formula that has led me to this very moment. Ten years of marriage plus unlimited love, equals the first major marriage milestone. As some of you may have learnt by now, marriage goes beyond the wedding and bubbly experiences one shares within the infancy of a relationship.
Not everyone was fashioned to weather the storms of life with another. Granted marriage is not a walk in the park but, a committment to give of yourself to another, for as long as you both shall live. Nowadays, as long as you both shall live is short lived. Celebrating one year of marriage has become a modern day miracle nevermind ten years of marriage. Being a wedding planner, I understand that it’s all in the details as is the love you give and hopefully get in return.
There is a great distance to be traveled to reach any given milestone. Before I sign off today, I wanted to share some of my personal favorite celebrity marriage milestones that I hope inspire you to love your spouse deeper just another year and, crossover the ten year anniversary mark as they have. Kirk Douglas and Anne Buydens-55 years, his son, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones-11 years, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-14 years, John Travolta and Kelly Preston-20 years and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill-15years. My profession is to create beautiful weddings while my prayer is that my brides create major marriage milestones for themselves. So today, I just wanted to remind you to celebrate the gift of life, the gift of laughter but, most important of all, the gift of love.
