Can you do a wedding in Northern CA for 10K or under and still have a wonderful day? A big budget is wonderful but for those of us who just don’t have it, please tell me it’s possible, and where can you make cuts without compromising fun for guests?
Thanks Donnie, you’re the best!!!!

Jen:
Thanks for the note. Of course you can do a wedding for your budget. You do have to make some serious decisions and be careful not to over-spend on things that you want but cannot necessarily have. One thing to note is that the fewer people you have in attendance, the better. Perhaps a Sunday afternoon wedding and brunch would be good for around 40 people. Anything other than Saturday night will be better as those prime times are more expensive. Additionally, you want to make sure you are doing it at a time when limited alcohol would be okay like daytime. Evenings are more difficult as people tend to drink more at night. Make sure to create a budget first before you do any shopping and stick to it. The worst thing to do is spend a lot on the first things you see and then have no money left at the end. I hope this helps.
Happy Wedding!
