Wedding Planning and Color Question

Hi! We are planning a garden wedding for next September. How do you know how to make a different seating for the wedding and then the meal? Should there be table seating arrangements? Lastly, is silver and blue the wrong color for that time of year?

Hi Karen:
Typically, you would have open seating for the ceremony with reserved seating for family in the front two or three rows. For the reception, I would suggest you place guests at a table but not a specific seat.  The wedding party and their dates would sit at one table or a series of tables and the rest would be at other tables. To get the guests to their tables, you would have escort cards, in alphabetical order, with their name and table number or table name on the card to direct them efficiently.

Silver and blue is not a bad combination. The only thing to note is that there are few good and usable blue flowers available and no silver flowers so you might end up with silver containers and mostly white flowers with blue accents to achieve your goal. It would not be a bad idea to add a third color, like purple or yellow, to the mixture to assist with floral.

I hope this helps. Good luck on your wedding!
