Chocolate Rolls Royce

After it’s all said and done, the last guest has sipped the last drop of champagne and the dj/band has played your last wedding song, you will need to make a grand departure one way or another. Will you depart in a horse-drawn carriage or, will a Rolls Royce Phantom await to transport you to the rest of your life? The choice is yours!

You may not all have the privilege of exiting your wedding reception in the same fashion as England’s royal couple so stylishly did in Prince Charles’ Aston Martin Volante. However, this does not excuse you from making a strong getaway statement. It has become en vogue to exit in a memorable vehicle and, if I have your full attention, I would like for you to join me on this exciting ride of trendy transportation.

Helicopter rides to and from weddings may not be ubiquitous but, they are a sure way of being whisked off in true style. Perhaps you can seek out a package that can transport you to your chosen honeymoon spot or sight see the very city you reside in while sipping on champagne. The average helicopter flight lasts for an hour and may not be as expensive as you perceive it to be. What say you about getting away in skydiving style? Honestly speaking, this may only appeal to the more adventurous couple who believe in taking their love to ‘greater heights’ LOL. Food for thought.

For couples that gravitate to the traditional mode of transport, ie; limousine, I want you to be prepared to ask the necessary questions when you meet with this vendor. As always, I have compiled a meaty list of questions that you can use as your guide. For this category of course, our focus is on transportation/limousine companies:

  • How many, what size, and what type of vehicles do you carry? Make sure they are not limited to one or two cars. You want them to have a backup options in the event that the vehicle you’ve rented breaks down the day before your event.
  • Do you carry adequate insurance?
  • Do you have commercial or limousine permits that allow you to park in a reserved area near our event? This should go without saying.
  • What if you have car trouble or cannot be at my location on time?
  • Do you have an hourly minimum? There is usually a four or six-hour minimum.
  • Do you provide refreshments in the car? If so, is there an extra charge for this? Most companies do offer refreshments. Make sure the car is stocked with what you want.
  • Is gratuity included in the fee?

Although the focus has been on transportation for the couple, I must also address transporting TOIP (The Other Important People); your invited guests. Party buses are an excellent choice, especially if you have invited a significant number of out of town guests. Prince William and Kate transported some of their guests in party buses that undoubtedly accommodated royal guests in a fashionable and comfortable manner. Chelsea Clinton’s invited guests also travelled in the same mode of transport as the royal wedding guests.

Hiring valet service is not uncommon at most weddings especially if they are being held on private property or in a secluded area. By renting a party bus, you could eliminate the hassle and issue of parking. Not only that but, your guests would also have the pleasure of enjoying being transported right to your wedding doorstep. If anything, I know the ladies will definitely appreciate not having to act composed in their five inch, yet ever so stylish essential mode of transportation-Christian Louboutins!
