When your father’s name is Ralph Lauren, you can rest assured that your wedding dress will have friends and foes alike wishing they were in your shoes especially on your wedding day. Dylan Lauren, is the daughter of famed fashion designer, Ralph Lauren, who wed hedge fund manager, Paul Arrouet, on June 11, 2011 in New York. This girl knew exactly what theme she would run with for both her bridal shower as well as her special day.

Dylan’s favorite childhood movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, paved the way for what has now become the largest candy store in the world, Dylan’s Candy Bar owned by Dylan herself. It was only fitting that this beauty fashioned her bridal shower and wedding theme after her sweet obsession. If there is anything to be learned from Ralph Lauren’s seed, it’s that you can condense your bridal and wedding themes into one, making for easy planning across the board.

Staying true to your personality is one of the greatest assets to have as it relates to your theme selection. Dylan made sure that her guests left her shower knowing exactly what she should stood for; sweetness. Eye popping hues of yellow, pink, orange and white graced the shower that was hosted by my good friend, Martha Stewart’s Editorial Director, Darcy Miller. For favors, guests were presented with beautifully packaged, Cheeky Ring Pops. Like kids in a candy store, the guests were also treated to a magically set, pink and red candy bar, with large initial acrylic containers, ‘D’ and ‘P’ (Dylan and Paul) for that special custom touch.
