We’ve all heard the term; ‘changing the atmosphere’. Sometimes all it takes to accomplish this is, re-arranging the furniture in your home, wearing bright orange heels instead of your worn out nude ones, or simply adding a lovely arrangement of pink peonies to your already beautiful office. Often times, we complicate our own lives by doing too much, spending too much or thinking too much about how to bring about change. In the event planning world, switching it up is imperative. How else does one expect to keep up with the times and not just with the Kardashians? Speaking of the Kardashians, they are a prime example of switching it up. Their entire family unit understands what it is to evolve. They went from Keeping Up With the Kardashians to well, where they are today which is ubiquitous.

As an event planner, I must evolve so as to stay abreast of what’s hot and what’s not! After all, great minds think alike. To that I say; surround yourself with a great team of individuals whose minds are not stagnant, nor desire to be stagnant. Stagnation STINKS so why pollute your environment? The atmosphere at Donnie Brown Weddings and Events is such that I encourage switching it up constantly and keeping it ever-fresh. The first time I opened up the doors to our new offices, I knew I had to switch the entire look from where we had been to fit who I am, what my brand represents and most importantly, to be inviting and exciting for our clients. Whether you are a wedding and event planner or some other life career or endeavor, I encourage you to look for ways that will bring about the change you so desire, be it internally or externally. Change is a good thing and it keeps everything fresh and exciting!
